Our Product History

Chios Mastic
Chios has the unique privilege of mastic production worldwide. Mastic is the final product of the mastic tree (pistachia lentiscus). Mastic trees grow in other places as well, but only in the southern part of Chios mastic, the blessed “tear” that comes pouring out of incisions carved on the tree bark with special tools and techniques, has the property to congeal after it gets dry – giving us what we know as mastic. The rich, light soil of southern Chios and the unique climate conditions of the area create the perfect conditions for the cultivation of mastic plants for the production of the famous mastic resin.

Herbs
Our love for the island of Chios, our desire for the protection of plant life and nature and the need to work and create on our native land, led us to the foundation of Myrovolos Organics, based in Chalkeios, in the area of Kampochora, Chios. Our activities begin with planting; proceed to cultivation and from there to picking each leaf by hand. The next steps are gathering and drying our herbs, in order to keep all their properties and finally, packaging.
